Create a Hotel Bathroom at Home

As the nights start to draw in and we fast approach 2023, we at VADO want to share with you the bathroom trends set to take the interior world by storm throughout the new year. Embracing a variety of colours, materials, and textures, the latest bathroom ideas will suit every taste in every home. So, if you’re planning a totally new look in the New Year or simply want to update your bathroom with some tiles or taps, read on…

PLAY WITH PATTERNS

When it comes to bathroom tiles, whether on the floors or walls, the pattern trend is back in style.

Ideal for injecting a bit of personality and a playful touch into your space, eye-catching tiles can be used to make as much impact as you like. For a quick and easy update, create a decorative splashback behind your basin to help your taps stand out, or truly embrace the trend with checkerboard floors.

STAY AHEAD OF THE CURVE

The much-loved interior trend for arches and curves has been gaining traction in recent months and as we move into 2023, expect to see even more soft, organic shapes making their mark in the bathroom and everywhere else around the home.

Whether it’s through architectural touches such as arched windows and doorways or on furniture and brassware, like our Arrondi collection; the soft, sinuous lines and curves can add a more relaxed, natural look and feel to your space.

SPA STYLE

One of the most enduring trends, spa style is here to stay as we increasingly turn to our homes and in particular our bathrooms, for relaxation and rejuvenation. Neutral colours such as creams and beiges paired with natural materials like wood, stone, and marble lend themselves perfectly to this increasingly growing trend.

Incorporating sophisticated touches such as brushed gold brassware, double showers, and free-standing baths creates a luxurious feel within the bathroom. If you’re going for more of a dramatic style statement, pairing a waterfall bath spout in a stylish brushed black finish will also add instant impact whilst the water flow creates a relaxing, natural vibe. Don’t forget some scented candles and luxurious bath oils, too!

TRUE COLOURS

For the last few years, we have seen colour become a big trend for the bathroom, and 2023 will be no exception. Forget the avocado green or dark red sanitaryware of the 70s and 80s, in come the warm pastels, luxurious metallic finishes and nature-inspired neutrals.

However, green, and blue still have a large presence in the bathroom, as does black, particularly when used as an accent colour for brassware, accessories, or shower frames. Bold, mood-boosting colours are popping up more, too, but if you’re nervous about committing to any permanent changes, add in splashes of colour using towels, bathmats, and accessories.

TEXTURAL TOUCHES

Sculptured sanitaryware and fluted or frosted finishes are predicted to continue trending in bathroom design throughout 2023. Whether on shower screens, tiles, wall panels, or light fittings and furniture, reeded or fluted finishes are proving increasingly popular. Textured brassware is also a growing trend, with diamond-cut knurled detailing leading the way.

COUNTRY CHARM

The cottage core look remains a firm favourite for many keen to bring a contemporary touch to country and classic bathrooms. Opting for traditional brassware like our Booth & Co collection, paired with feminine, pastel colours, organic wood, and romantic floral prints to create a simplistic, timeless design.
